Happy Monday loves!

Acne, and skin in general, is a topic that comes up in my community and with my 1:1 clients so frequently, it’s actually more rare for a woman not to be experiencing some kind of acne than to be experiencing it, it’s one of the most common things that I see in my practice.

When it comes to hormonal acne, most women (and humans in general, but I work primarily with women so I will often just speak to them) have “tried everything” , every product, every topical, every treatment and still find themselves breaking out cyclically before their period, or just living with acne all the time. Approximately 50% of women in their 20s, 25% of women in their 30s, and more than 10% of women in their 40s struggle with acne, so you’re very much not alone in this if you’re struggling with your skin.

The thing that so many women don’t realize is that acne is a symptom of something deeper, like; stagnation or disruption in our detoxification pathways, or gut microbiome, inflammation, diet, lifestyle, and hormones can all cause acne.

The key to healing acne is not in topical treatments or medications, it’s in finding the root cause and then targeting that specifically with intentional supplementation, diet, and lifestyle practices so you can heal from the inside out.
